Delivering investments which will enable Ireland’s regions and enhance their ability to attract investment and generate employment opportunities

ISIF’s regional strategy is focused on delivering investments which will enable Ireland’s regions and enhance their ability to attract investment and generate employment opportunities.

ISIF’s regional investments will be aligned with Project Ireland 2040 with a particular focus on Ireland’s 4 primary regional cities - Cork, Galway, Limerick, and Waterford.

Enabling investments completed and in the pipeline include:

  • Urban Regeneration projects across regional cities – ISIF’s long term, patient and flexible investment capital plays a critical role in unlocking sites of strategic importance.
  • Commercial Real Estate investment capital to support the development of “Places to Work” in the regions – these developments will enable the growth of indigenous businesses across the regions and to attract and drive FDI into the regions.
  • Transport and connectivity-based infrastructure which enhances the physical, virtual and energy connectivity of the regions and Ireland as a whole.

ISIF will support Ireland’s rural economy through targeted investments, with a particular focus on food & agriculture investments.

Partnerships will be vital in the regions - ISIF has established regional partnerships through investments such as Port of Cork and Abbey Quarter Kilkenny and is replicating this model across the regions.
