An impact focused venture capital fund that will focus on Seed and Series A investments in climate-tech and health-tech, which are aligned with one of the Sustainable Development Goals. Norrsken Venture Capital is led by General Partners, Tove Larsson and Agate Freimane, and it aims to invest at least €21m from Fund II in portfolio companies headquartered in, or having material business operations or projects in, Ireland.
The commitment to Norrsken was proposed under ISIF’s Climate investment strategy, with the aim of developing the nascent Climate Tech ecosystem in Ireland by crowding in international capital, managers, and their networks. This commitment is a clear example of ISIF Climate’s strategy making commitments with best-in-class international investors, with a view to creating long-term strategic partnerships across multiple climate funds focusing on companies at different stages of their growth journey.
