The Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF) has committed €200m to specialist greenfield renewable energy infrastructure investor, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (“CIP”) latest flagship strategy, Copenhagen Infrastructure V (the “CI V”).
This commitment aligns with ISIF’s investment theme of supporting the Irish climate Action Plan and its build out of offshore wind to 7GW by 2030 and help to bring best-in-class international investors to Ireland to support emerging Irish industries in the climate space.
Building upon the legacy of its predecessor flagship funds, CIP aims to invest across a range of technologies, including offshore wind, energy storage, and onshore wind and solar projects, in countries spanning North America, Western Europe, and the Asia Pacific. NISA is their first project in Ireland as they aim to provide investors with access to greenfield utility-scale energy infrastructure projects that require specialised industrial skillsets to originate, structure and manage.
