NTMA Entrepreneur in Residence Programme 2020

Supporting Female Entrepreneurial Success

In recognition of the gap between male and female entrepreneurship in Ireland, the NTMA launched the NTMA Female Entrepreneur in Residence programme in 2020. Candidate businesses were required to have a minimum of one female founder, who was also a member of the executive team. The initiative offered the successful candidate dedicated office space at Treasury Dock at North Wall Quay with support from experienced investment professionals and access to a significant relevant investor network.

The quality of applicants was exceptionally high, and the NTMA would like to recognise the support of ISIF private equity, venture capital and SME funds which has been instrumental in the successful roll-out of this initiative.

Derya Sousa of Kianda is the NTMA’s 2020 Female Entrepreneur in Residence winner. Kianda, a process management and automation company (https://www.kianda.com/) offers a cloud-based platform that enables users to streamline complex business operations.

Selection was by way of a competitive process where candidate businesses were assessed on the strength and ambition of their business plan including and their anticipated use of the award, both from a practical perspective and strategically, as a catalyst to transform their business.
